Lavrov and Andorra's Foreign Minister sign an agreement to abolish the visa regime  09.12.2019 12:27

On the 5th of December, during the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Slovakia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov signed an agreement with the Foreign Minister of Andorra Maria Ubak on the abolition of visa regime between the countries, reports the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Foreign Ministers of Russia and Andorra signed an agreement on the terms of mutual abolition of entry documents. It is stressed that the agreement comes into force 90 days after the signing.

"Lavrov and Ubak noted the positive dynamics of bilateral relations and readiness for their further development", - noted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Maya Lomidze, Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, considers this agreement a great breakthrough for Andorra.

"Andorra is a popular winter destination. It is one of the most popular ski resorts that is traditionally among the top five best ski destinations in Europe. There is no doubt that visa facilitation can be a major breakthrough for Andorra", - said the head of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.
