Moscow authorities expect the growth of foreign tourists who will go to the capital on FAN ID, said the head of the Department of Sport and Tourism Nikolay Gulyayev on Wednesday.

Earlier, the Russian President Vladimir Putin said that foreigners holding FAN ID passports will have the right for free multiple entries to Russia that will be valid until the end of the year.

"Recently I said that all the fans of the world championship with FAN IDs can go to Russia free by the end of 2018. I think that it will contribute to an additional influx of foreign visitors to Moscow," said Gulyayev during the Moscow urban forum.

He noted that during the World Cup "there were no mistakes basically" in Moscow and recalled that the president of the FIFA has already highly appreciated the holding of the Mundial in Russia.

The head of the department stressed that the number of foreigners increased in almost 56%. "About 1.2 million people from different countries visited us this month," he said.
