Mutual visa abolition agreement between Costa Rica and Russia  30.04.2018 14:47

According to the Cabinet decree published on the official portal of legal information, the Russian government has approved a mutual visa abolition agreement with Costa Rica for citizens traveling for up to 90 days.

"Citizens of the Russian Federation who hold valid passports granting the right to cross the border, except for holders of diplomatic and service passports, can enter the territory of the Republic of Costa Rica without visas for up to 90-day period counting from the date of entry," states the document.

It is also reported that Costa Rican citizens can enter the territory of the Russian Federation without visas for up to 90-day period during each 180-day period counting from the date of the first entry. The agreement between the countries is concluded for an indefinite period.

In 2018, it is planned to sign a similar document with Suriname. After that all countries of Latin America will become visa-free for Russian tourists.
