Russia and the Philippines agreed on cooperation in tourism  19.03.2018 10:15

The governments of Russia and the Philippines signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism, an official portal of legal information reported on Friday.

According to the agreement, the governments will promote the federal agency for tourism and tourism Department of the Philippines in establishing contacts and developing cooperation between the organizations of two countries that participate in the development of international tourism and invest in this sphere and organize joint business.

Besides, in accordance with national legislation the parties strive to simplify border, customs and other formalities related with tourist exchange.

Through the state bodies of tourism, the parties will promote organized group and individual tourism, the exchange of groups, including for the purpose of visiting sports events, different festivals and tourist congresses.

The parties will also promote the exchange of information about legislative acts regulating tourism in both countries, about national legislation related to the preservation of natural and cultural resources, about  the experience of hotel management and about  statistical and promotional materials.

The state bodies of tourism of the two countries will also coordinate cooperation within the World Health Organization and other international organizations.

The agreement will be valid for five years and will automatically extend.
