The number of foreign tourists arriving in Russia in 2017 will be at the level of last year's rate or higher, the press secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Irina Tyurina told Interfax-Tourism.
"Due to the games of the Confederations Cup, the entry season-2017 in Russia was slightly crumpled, but in general the tour operators do not complain. The demand is stable, the results of the year will be at the level of last year or even better than prosperous last season", - said Tyurina.

Tour operators talked about a good tourist flow from Spain, from the countries of Latin America and Asia. The Moscow office of "Amparus Tour" believes that demand is aroused by interest in Russia that does not leave the pages of the international press and people want to see everything with their own eyes.
According to the representatives of the tourist business, the ruble rate does not present importance than a few years ago. The head of the Russian representative office of the company "Tumlare" Elena Rusova noted that the price of trips in Russia is not general factor for foreign tourists.

According to forecasts, the season-2018 will be the same: two summer months during the World Cup will be quiet in the tourist market, the demand may drift for August-September.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the number of tourist visas issued by Russian consulates to foreign citizens can grow by 4% in 2017 comparing to last year's rate.
According to the Russian Border Service, in the first quarter of 2017, there are 295,000 tourist arrivals in Russia that is 16.8% more than the same period of 2016. The gain was mainly due to China, South Korea, Thailand and Japan.
